About
The Tournament of Flash Artists is a yearly
competition of animation ability and quality using Adobe's Flash
animation program. The contest is held on the Albino
Blacksheep Forums and is hosted / organized by Munchy
Media.
The goal of TOFA is to encourage creativity in it's most original
form, while also helping animators to exercise their strengths
with time limits, competitors, and completely original content
creation.
The competition pits animators against each other through scored
Rounds where the animators have a certain amount of time to
complete their entry. Entries are scored by a panel of judges
in Five categories:
- Artwork (5 Points)
- Animation (5 Points)
- Originality (5 Points)
- Structure (5 Points)
- Entertainment (5 Points)
Points from each judge tally up to a total of 25 possible points. With four judges, the total points possible for an entry will be 100 Points.
Prizes each year are determined by donations through the flash
community. To date, about $650 in prizes have been awarded,
with both competitor numbers and prize amounts growing greatly
each year. |
